4.12.2009~~~~~A play by play of what all went down Easter weekend...

On Saturday after the irritating, frustrating, hair-pulling photo shoot with my kiddos, we just hung around and played most of the day. We went to my twin's for dinner-hey baby-gotta love free food. AND I MADE GRAVY THAT WAS EDIBLE FOR THE 5TH TIME EVER. COUNT IT PEEPS...5TH TIME EVER. Anyways...dinner was great. I had to run to the store to get some plastic eggs because...well because. So we go home and I also then realize we haven't dyed our eggs yet. Never mind that it is already 8PM and I tired to the bone. We will do this. The kids were really excited. I think that's because they don't get to clean up the after-effects but oh-well. We get done and get everyone in bed. I can't hide anything until they are all asleep (Shayne almost caught the Easter bunny last year). And as a bonus*******Paul is home*******. He hasn't been home for Easter in...I can't even tell you the last time he was home for Easter. So finally we get everything taken care of and head to sweet slumberland.

The egg that is pink with the bunny/cat...yes...that is the extent of my drawing skills. How sad. I could've gotten away with the kids did that one...but even they draw better than me.
So Easter morning...here come the troops...
"Mommy-the Easter Bunny came!!"
"Girls-you better not have gone downstairs without us!"
"Paul wake up! We have to get down there!"
Now--it will be different when the kids are little older and I don't have to referee who has what and they can go down on their own. But for now...life is as it is.

So...the girls get similar baskets from the EB and Connor gets a basket that has a dart-nerf gun in it (make the girls be his targets for a change) and Sage of course gets a sweet little basket. The

EB gave the kids the big baskets and on the table were the little ones from us. The kids loved all their stuff! What did Sage think?

She was eating her bunny! Also--don't you just LOVE her jammie? I love the little monkey!!!!--the jammie and the one wearing them! (bet you could tell that since I put the feetie pic in an Easter blog post)

We went to my mother-in-law's for dinner and had a great time! I think my son makes his Nanny crazy. He colored on a report she is supposed to send in to her work. OOPS!! And my sister-in-law will save him from anything. She absolutely loves my little man. Which I love. She is his CARRIE!!! That's what he told me the whole way home. The girls had fun...playing around with their cousin.

So my Easter weekend was spent with family. Saturday with my twin and her crew...Sunday with my family and my in-laws. It couldn't have been better...except the picture taking thing.
