4.13.2009~Today was the day. The day my baby boy started pre-school. I had a harder time with him going than I did the girls. Maybe because I worry more about him in regards to the school thing. I know how the girls are. And I know how my son is. I don't want him to be "that kid" in class that is a pain for everyone. I want him to have school be as easy as it was for me. I don't think that will be the case but it is still something I want.
I also wanted him to wake up in a good mood about school...that didn't happen.
I also wanted him to tell me bye without me forcing it...that didn't happen.
I also didn't want him to be bad on his first day...that didn't happen (according to Stormy).
Here is what happened.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
He started his morning off in the mood he is always in...BAD! I had to bribe him with milk (he had 2 cups of milk in a 5 minute period). He said he didn't want to go to school. When I told him he could just stay with me (I was half-serious on this) he got his coat and backpack. He then climbed on the bus and didn't look back. UNTIL I climbed on his bus and told him to come tell me bye (then he gave me a hug and a kiss). And then I went back inside and took a picture of his bus...getting ready to leave. Let me wipe away my tear.
What happened when he got home? Stormy told me "He was bad today." Oh. Wait. What does that mean?!?
"Connor were you bad today?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I hit him."
"Hit who?"
"Him."
"Connor we don't hit our friends!"
And then he goes to the fridge because he is hungry. And then he takes a nap.
Man I hope tomorrow is easier. For both of us!
Hope he gets the hang of school someday!!!
ReplyDeleteNaughty Boo Boo, but I was laughing the whole time I was reading this. I had an idea of how your day was going to go. Hope his teachers are ready for when he is comfortable around them!
