8.11.2009~*~*Many, many items*~*~*

So on the 11th (which was my Mom's (and my Aunt Charlene) birthday) I got to take pictures for one of my neighbors. We have been talking about getting them done and finally we were able to. But I had to take a few test shots of course. When I asked Stormy to pose for me this is what she did:

Only Stormy. Also on the 11th, it was Meet the Teacher night. So we loaded up all the kids and headed up to the school. We first stopped in Stormy's class. My Stormy is ready for kindergarten. I don't know if kindergarten is ready for her but nothing they can do about it now! HA! Stormy really liked her teacher. I hope the feeling is mutual after a month with my darling girl. She can talk for hours straight and never get tired. Trust me. I know.

Next we headed to Connor's class. He is in the preschool program up at the elementary school. Remember his first day? So the teachers all know him and all that. He actually acted shy. Boy do I hope that continues for a little bit for those poor teachers. And I really, really hope he doesn't call anyone stupid...or worse. These teachers also were happy to see Stormy since they won't have her this year. I have to tell you. There is something about that girl. No matter how naughty she is being or no matter how much she is sassing you, there is something about her.

Next we headed to Shayne's SECOND grade class. I cannot believe I have a kid that is in second grade. She seemed really nice. I have to say that I am anxious to see how this year goes for Shayne. Have you ever asked your kids who the bad kid in class was? Or who got in trouble that day? Now-this does not mean that that kid is bad. But some have more attention brought to themselves for all the wrong reasons. You know which kid I am talking about right? Think back to when you were in school. You know which kid I am talking about. This poor teacher has 3 of the ones I am talking about. I really hope that this year will be the turning point for some of those students. And I really hope Shayne's confidence in her skills improves. My kid is really smart. I mean that. She is. She doesn't think that though. She second guesses her answers a lot. So where I want to see the most improvement for her is in that area. Of course I want her reading and math and etc. to improve but all of those will if her confidence gets taken care of first.

Before we left we had to stop and see Shayne's first grade teacher--whom Shayne LOVED. She is also holding out to teach Stormy first grade next fall. I have already explained these two kids of mine are very, very, very different!

Finally, it was time to head...to the store. The baby needed formula. And paper towels. And soap. Well she only needed one of those things.
