Grow up.Wake up. 4.28.2009

This morning when I got up I looked outside and saw this red SUV in the middle (yes middle) of my cul-de-sac. Parked with no one in it. What is going on? I waited to see if someone was running to a neighbor's house and that they just left their car there for a few minutes. Nope. It was there for a long time (since at least 5AM). What is going on with that? One of my neighbors went and put a note on it saying to not park there. Not sure if you read my tweets but I decided to call the police department because what if it had been stolen?Or in a crime? Okay-obviously I have a ridiculous imagination. But it could happen! So after I thought they didn't get my call, a police officer shows up and asks me if it belongs to anyone. I told him none of the neighbors have cars like that. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a stolen vehicle or anything. He tells me it's not stolen. I then say, that we have a couple of teenagers in the area now but I don't know if they are out of school like the elementary schools are. He tells me they are and asks me where they live. I only point out one. He says he will go knock on some doors. I feel kind of bad. I tell him I don't want anyone in trouble but it's a really stupid place to park. He agrees and just states that they can't park there because...whatever legal reason. It is still early. Only 9ish. Pretty soon, I see a friend of the teenager run out and move the car (to block their mailbox but that's their problem not mine). What a ding dong. If he would have parked where it was legal, he would've gotten to sleep in on a day that school is out. Wake up. If he was drunk enough (or not or whatever it is that he was) to park there, I'm glad that no one got hurt. I hope he doesn't do it again. I'll just call that much earlier next time.

  1. Like I said, they need to stay in school because apparently, they still have a lot to learn!!

  2. It's not like you have most partyin' cul-de-sac. You only park like this if the whole circle is full!
