"Are you ready for this?" 4.27.2009

Yesterday was my kiddos dentist check-up. I scheduled all 3 big kids at the same time. They have a pretty cool setup that accommodates all in the same room. I asked them if they were ready when they called us back. She smiled and said, "Yes we are." She had no idea. You see, it was Connor's first trip ever to the dentist to have his teeth cleaned. The first time I took Stormy she laid on her stomach with her booty in the air with her head where her feet should go. Do you think Connor did that?


Nope he didn't. He actually did GREAT!!! I had you fooled I bet! I told them no fluoride though. He still isn't that great at spitting. And Shayne (drama queen) kept saying it was hurting. That was when the little machine was on and not even touching her. Stormy...I might have to take her to get her teeth cleaned more. Because during the cleaning, she didn't (couldn't) talk. Ahhhh---it was nice.


Now after the cleaning...the girls started talking to the dental hygienists. What were they telling them? How naughty Connor is. And that he says bad words. And that he rides the little bus to school with his sister. Shayne then said that Stormy and Connor were the naughty ones and that she and Sage were not. It's hard to argue with that. Also--naughty is just an expression. They really could be worse. I always say that. It helps my mind stay at peace. I asked the dentist if it was normal that Shayne's teeth all seem to be falling out?!? He told me that "Normally--all 8 teeth fallout within a year of each other. Then nothing for a little while. Then the molars start falling out. Then...etc." So yes-Shayne is a normal toothless 7-year-old. Thank God. Now to share one more first in our family, but this time for a little boy...

Can you see Sage? Her toothies (all 2 of them)didn't need to checked out...yet. HA HA!!!
Also--Connor stole got 2 toys from the treasure chest before we left. The girls only got 1 and asked about it as we were leaving. I quickly shushed them and out we went! See you in 6 months Dr. D!
