10.27.2009--every day...

Every day when my morning class goers get home...they can't wait to rip into their backpacks to show me what they did!
Which is great because I am just as excited to see what they have done!

10.26.2009---I WANT IT NOW---

After all of my attempts at picture taking yesterday (the 25th) you would think my kids would run when I have any camera out...
Not the case for my sweet baby! She actually...
was trying to grab the camera. Silly baby...cameras are for mommy!

10.29.2009

And yes it's another..

Birthday!!!
This time to my nephew Cole...
Love you Cole!
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!

10.25.2009---why oh why do I persist?

So my best friend gives me a shout and wants to know if I want to meet up and we can do family photo pics. Paul's out of town but I was planning on doing the kids that same day {great minds think alike}. So I get the kids ready and out the door we go. The clouds are rolling in but I love doing outside shoots on overcast days...especially with kids. No glaring sun in the eyes...no whining...etc. I digress. We meet up at a location. Wow. There have been a few rolls of thunder and lightening waaaayyyy off in the south. Let's hurry right? Absolutely. I take a few shots of them---which turn out GREAT! And then...my kids. Not so great. Wanna see what Sage has decided to do when set down and she doesn't want to be set down?
Pitiful I know. But guess what else? When you are outside shooting it can be hard to wrangle certain blonde headed pain in the...I mean...my son into posing for a picture. Wanna see?
Yeah--look right behind Sage's head. There he is. Pulling leaves off of the tree. And can you tell that Stormy had gum in her mouth? I finally made her spit it out after a few green teeth pictures.
So did I get any great ones of all 4 of my crew? Nope. That's okay. I will get them. Eventually. I did get a couple of good ones. This one for example:
Yeah--not bad. Stormy's making her face. Connor was barely hanging in there. Shayne is {of course} my model. And Sage...just wanted to be picked up. I have one more that maybe, just maybe might be the Christmas card. And nope...they aren't looking in the picture. But....it's just one of those pictures that makes my heart sigh. Wanna see?
Too bad. Wait til next month or early December to get your Christmas card from me. MAN I love suspense {when it's not me that has to endure it}. So if you really, really would like a card...you better give me your address!
As a little extra note...Sage fell asleep within two minutes of being in her car-seat. And it started pouring...I MEAN POURING on us on our way home. Until the next photo shoot...I'll get you my pretties...and your little smiles too!

more to come...

So--I have to check my cell phone to see if I have a picture from the 24th. And I have the 25ths to post and today also. BUT I have to get a few things done around here first. Until later...

10.23.2009---always a way to get around...

Yep. Sage has figured out our redneck gating system.
Sigh.
Now...we have to get the extra strap from the booster seats and rope them together.
Sigh.

10.21.2009---already done...onto 10.22.2009

I already did a post for 10.21.2009...remember? So onto the 22nd.
Well...can you see them? I know...it's hard right? That's because it was camouflage day at school! This is one spirit day that I knew Connor would be on board for. And I was right.

10.20.2009--a FIRST for Connor....

So what would Connor be having for the first time that I would want to share?
His first field trip...EVER! And to one of our all time favorite things in the fall...a pumpkin patch.
He got to get his own pumpkin...
He got to stand in the wooden train engine...

And jump on this thing...I have no idea what it is. Paul went with him on his first field trip. It was kind of cold out. It sprinkled a little bit. And according to all...it was a lot of fun!

10.25.2009

wow

So--I haven't blogged in a few days. AND the last time I did I was back-tracking to show a family tradition...
Tomorrow I will be posting a few pictures {you know like usual} for my self-imposed challenge that I really have only missed {I think} 5 days of pictures. Not too shabby...if I do say so myself. Which I do. Ahem.

Until tomorrow. I have a little girl crying for me as I type this. Duty calls...

Fall Family tradition....10.18.2009

So every fall we head to the pumpkin patch with Paul's side. We have done this since Shayne was a baby. It is one of my favorite traditions! First thing we do is get ready...see?
And of course we pose for a family picture!
The trees were gorgeous!!!

And individual shots of each child of mine...

And the baby did not like the pumpkin patch visit at all!!!
The big kids also got their faces painted and loved it...until we got back to the truck.
Connor had me wipe his off.

Shayne also found a fat caterpillar...that she tried to put in my hair! Which I {of course} hopped around like a crazy person to get it off of me. sigh.

And this is what we saw when we were getting ready to head back to pay for the pumpkins.

Watch out other pumpkin patch goers...Connor is trying to drive the golf-cart.

It was a great day with family {even though you don't see anyone else in the pictures}.
LOVE pumpkin patch day!!

10.19.2009~*"Momma, why does Sage have a ..."~*

...mohawk?
That is what Stormy asked me Monday when Sage woke up.
And yep...Sage did have a mohawk...until I sprayed her hair with detangler and pushed it down.
My mohawk little girl.

WaCkY wEdNeSdAy---10.21.2009

This week is Drug Awareness Week. Each day has a special theme. Monday was wear red day. Tuesday was twin day (the girls both wore pink shirts and jeans...not matching but similar). And today...Wacky day. So...what does wacky look like on the girls (because Connor wouldn't do it)?
