So on this fun (HOT) day (6.18.2009) after a peaceful night at our hotel we headed out again. Down to the riverfront where the steps to the arch are. We happened upon this statue:
Stormy was convinced that someone had died. She then proceeded to say to whomever would listen that people have died in the river. Oh Stormy...Next...

The kids thought it was really cool. And what did Sage think?

After the egg-shaped elevator ride down the arch we decided to beat the heat and check out the museum in the arch.
We got to the arch just in time. Why, you ask? Because when we got there we were able to just walk on in. When we left, the line was CRAZY! Next up: Lunch at Union Station...Well...kind of. Actually right behind Union Station.
The kids were very curious about the drums on the ceiling. "Do they work?"
After lunch I wanted to walk around Union Station. But the kids saw this first:
Yep- they wanted to feed the fish. So why not? Except Sage. She had had enough fun for the morning.
We did walk around Union Station. I was a little disappointed. Here I was thinking it would be more historical. Nope--shopping. But most of the shops had closed. There is one area that has a little history in it:
This sign was in a case of items of days gone by and it made me smile...Who knew?
It was time to head home after Union Station. So Goodbye St. Louis!
