6.15.2009---FAMILY VACATION---

Our family vacation was last week. Whew...what a week. It was full of short trips. The first involved a three and half hour car trip north, to the Henry Doorly Zoo. We got up really early (like 4:30AM early peeps) and headed out. It rained almost the whole way up. But then...it stopped and was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!

So here we are at the beginning of our day...

We saw a ton of critters...and I won't put all the pictures here...just a few...

And I tried to capture a great picture of all 4...yet again...and yet again...no success! It's not too bad but...could've been better...

We also went on the train ride around the zoo. I will do more on that in a separate post but here is a sneak preview:

And we saw a TON of these flippin' birds all...day...long!

The kids were scared at first of these screeching suckers. I have a funny thing that my kids say moment about this...later.

Okay--that is the tip of the iceberg for this particular day. I much more to say and show. But...I need to sleep. Back to my normal craziness tomorrow. Thank God.
