Saturday was an interesting day. Not for me. For Paul. I had to take Shayne to her stunt clinic. It was a short event. I left at 9:45AM. At noon I called Paul because I was on my way home. Here is the conversation...
"Hey honey, I'm..."
"Are you on your way?"
"Yes. I'm at 95th and 35"
"Good."
"Is everything okay?"
"You are never leaving her here with me again until she is eating normal food."
"Paul. What happened?"
"She wouldn't eat. She is asleep now though so it's okay."
"You probably did it wrong Paul. Did you warm up her bottle right?"
"Yes. How much did you leave?"
"There was already an ounce and a half and the other baggie had 3 ounces."
"Well she's back down to ounce and a half."
"That's normal Paul. She eats probably 3 ounces every 2 hours since she's breastfed. So that equals up to 6 ounces in a four-hour period."
"Fine. Just get home!"
So I get home and she is asleep. I talk to Paul some more.
"What happened?"
"She didn't want to eat the food."
"What did you try feeding her?"
"Hummm...Chicken and Sweet Potatoes."
"PAUL!!!!!!!!!! SHE HASN'T HAD MEAT YET. I don't doubt she didn't like it."
"How am I supposed to know?!?"
"Well-you know how I said she is almost done going through the small jars on the RIGHT side of the pantry and then will be ready for the 2nd stage?"
"Oh. OOHHH. Well. She had a 2 today. And she pooped. And she cried when I yelled at Stormy. And then Connor cried and then I told her to calm down!"
"Really Paul? No, REALLY?" "So how did that work out? I mean, telling a 7-month-old to calm down. Did she listen?"
"It was a very crazy morning. And I'm not kidding. She has to be eating food better before I will watch her."
So for dinner guess what Sage got for the "first" time for photo purposes?
DADs. Don't know what I would do without him. I do know why I want to strangle him sometimes.
