What did you do this weekend?

As many know (and if not they will now), I have been interested in photography for awhile. I haven't ever done much with it. Mostly because of intimidation. It is scary to start new things. There is always a fear of failure. That doesn't necessarily mean the photography business end of it. Mostly, my fear is a fear that the photographs I take won't be what the customers were expecting. Disappointment is probably the biggest fear I have in regards to failure. But, I have some truly wonderful family and friends that are letting me use them as my guinea pigs. I need practice! I also have another friend that does photography (http://www.red-photo.net/) that does a great job and I ask her questions. Another person I have been a pain in the butt to is Alisa. She is an awesome photographer and doesn't do portraits too much any more (there are many families that miss her and her photog skills). She answers my questions with patience. I hope she knows she was one of my biggest inspirations to do more with my photography. She ROCKS!!! If I can become even half as good as she is...I will have it made! I will not do weddings...waaayyy to stressful for me right now. My skills are not up to code for that. But the link I mentioned earlier...they do weddings...and are great! So for now...I will stick to babies/families/toddlers...that kind of thing. So if you have any photography needs and don't mind a newbie...give me a shout.

That whole paragraph was leading up to some pics I shot this weekend... It was a double whammy. I did my photo challenge and got some practice!

This one is from Saturday 3.14.2009--thank you so much C & N. I hope you like the pics!

This little cowboy was getting hungry. Even though he isn't smiling (or even happy) this is one of favorite pics of Mr. L. I just LOVE IT! Happy 5 months little man! 3.15.2009
