I have a face book account that one of my friends recently posted a comment to that I wanted to share:
"Thank goodness for your blog. I started reading to pass time here in the hospital! I love the stories, especially Stormy stories! Your blog makes me smile."-- Stacey F.
Stacey's little boy has 2 heart defects that were only recently found. So she has been at the hospital with Jack a lot lately. So please say a prayer for Jack and a speedy recovery from his surgeries.
And for Stacey--get ready because here comes a Stormy story...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This morning was the first day back to school after spring break (thank god!). Stormy and Shayne got up with only a little crankiness. They got dressed and came downstairs. After eating Stormy asked if she could wear "these" shoes? yeah sure. Only--they are on the wrong feet. Sound familiar? Okay, I fix hair and send the girls to the bathroom to brush their teeth. Stormy asks if she can use my toothbrush. I tell her "NO!" She said, "well, I've only used it the past few days." ummm--ARGHHH STORMY. Fine. Whatever. Let's get moving girls. About 10 minutes after that I notice that Stormy's bus is pulling up.
"Stormy, come on. Your bus is here."
"But I haven't brushed my teeth!"
"Well you don't have time now girl. Your bus is waiting! Here, just hold your jacket and go get on the bus!"
After I send my child out to her waiting bus with teeth unbrushed, jacket unworn, I realize...shoes on wrong feet...still. I ask Shayne,
"Why didn't she brush her teeth?!?"
Shayne responds in my tone of voice, " Because she was jacking around like you tell us not to."
Thank goodness that school is back in. Thank goodness I have a 5-year-old named Stormy that is sooo stormy. Thank goodness I have a 7-year-old that repeats everything. AND thank goodness I have a blog to share my stories with!
Too funny!
ReplyDeletePoor Sue-Sue. Her little legs will only carry her as fast as she wants them too...HA HA. Stop using Shayne as a fink.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should get up earlier so that poor baby has time to "jack around" more... hee hee JUST KIDDING! I give Tommy 8 minutes to get ready! Love ya!
