The story of Stormy...

Exactly 5 years ago...
We got up really early because it was eviction day for you. We had to take Shayne to Mommy's cousin's house. We got to the hospital at 7:15AM. On the trip to the hospital I kept having these cramps that would come and go. Ummm...yep they were contractions. We were already in labor! When we got to the hospital the nurse got the IV started and checked me. We were dilated to almost 5cm. I asked for epidural at 8:40AM. I forgot my pillow though so I asked Daddy to go get it for me. When he got back Dr. Martinez came in and broke my water at 9:15AM and we were at a 8cm. By 9:35AM it was time to start pushing. At 9:50AM~after a few contractions...you were born. It was really quiet because no one was there except Daddy and the nurse and Doctor M. No one realized how quickly you would come. I only got to hold you for a second because you had swallowed a lot of fluid so they had to suck your airways out a little better. While you were getting cleaned up, Nanny and Grandpa (Happy Birthday to Grandpa also!) were on their way in. I yelled not to come in (I was still getting cleaned up as well). You surprised us because everyone expected it to take all day for you to come...not 2 1/2 hours!
Now for your stats...You were my teeny tiny little girl. You only weighed 5 pounds 15 ounces (a day passed your due date!!) and were 19.5 inches long. I was worried because you were so small! We had to do skin-to-skin to get your body temperature regulated better. You checked out great health wise...just tiny. Your big sister was so excited to meet you! She kept saying "I hold my baby me." You had a lot of visitors that afternoon. It was a memorable day!

The last 5 years have been crazy for us. You always keep us on our toes Ms. Attitude.
I love you sissy. FOREVER!
Here's looking at some pictures from your past darling...You are always in motion!

I love thinking back on the dates my kiddos were born. It truly is nothing short of a miracle. I would relive every moment of all of it if I could (yes even the pain-the end result is worth it a hundred times over). I love it that much! I am so thankful that God chose me to be their mommy. I am blessed. Even if it makes me crazy sometimes. And my dear Stormy has brought on a lot of my insanity. She also has brought more joy than imaginable.
